On top of Netflix’s plan to have a whole series based on the music of Dolly Parton, the legendary country singer has teamed up with pop sensation Sia on another Netflix project.

Tell me more!

Parton and Sia have recorded a new rendition of Parton’s song Here I Am for Netflix original film Dumplin’. In addition to being executive producer for the Dumplin’ soundtrack, Parton contributed six new songs for the album. The soundtrack is co-written and co-produced by singer-songwriter Linda Perry.

Jennifer Aniston, Miranda Lambert, Mavis Staples, Miley Cyrus, Elle King, Rhonda Vincent, and Alison Krauss are also collaborating with Parton on the soundtrack.

The film, a musical comedy based on Julie Muphy’s book of the same name, is about a former beauty queen (Aniston) and her plus-sized teenage daughter (played by Danielle Macdonald). Inspired by the music of Dolly Parton, the daughter enters a beauty pageant herself.

According to Rolling Stone, the film is set to debut on Netflix later this year. The soundtrack will be available on 30 November from Dolly Records/RCA Nashville.
