They’re both queens in our eyes

The Queen has revealed she is a fan of Ariana Grande while visiting child victims of the Manchester attack in hospital.

She also condemned the bombing as ‘very wicked’ during her visit, while praising staff for their hard work since the tragedy.

There are 12 children under the age of 16 currently staying at Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital.

Five remain in critical care, according to The Independent.

According to the publication she told victim Evie Mills, 14, and her parents: ‘It’s dreadful. Very wicked. To target this sort of thing.’

The 91-year-old furthermore told the girl that Ariana is ‘a very good singer’ and ‘sounds very, very good.’

She also told them ‘everyone is united’ after the attack.

One girl, 12-year-old Emily Murrell, sadly missed the visit as she had to undergo surgery.

Side To Side singer Ariana had just wrapped up her show at Manchester Arena when a suicide bomber killed 22 people, and injured 54 on Monday.

Among the dead was gay journalist and PR manager Martyn Hett.

Tributes poured out for he and the other victims on social media, including a special one from Mariah Carey, of whom Martyn was a super fun.

Other named victims include eight-year-old Saffie Rose Roussos and couple Chloe Rutherford, 17, and Liam Curry, 19.

While The Queen has positive words for Ariana, others have been less supportive.

Following the attack, controversial far-right media personality Milo Yiannopoulos called Ariana ‘anti-America and ‘pro-Muslim’ on Facebook.

The former Breitbart News senior editor furthermore added: ‘Little girls are being killed thanks to a murderous ideology. Why won’t Ariana Grande condemn it? It’s a supreme act of cowardice. She has a unique chance: this is the first opportunity to strike a blow against Islamic terror *in culture*.’

He went on: ‘She could be a cultural icon for generations. She owes it to her dead fans. So why won’t she act?’

Good Morning Britain host Piers Morgan has also lambasted the singer in a series of tweets, saying: ‘If the Queen can visit the victims in hospital, so can the star they paid to see.’

One was in response to a tweet from Katy Perry praising The Queen for visiting the victims

Katy Perry’s Tweet reads ‘God bless The Queen and her kind heart.’

Piers replied: ‘Agreed. Might have been nice if Ariana Grande had stayed to do the same.’
