There was plenty of talk in China about how the Guangxi New Media Center in the country’s south resembled a penis.
Then it opened this week. With a firework display that looked like this:

Netizens in China and around the world were keen to weigh in on the $300 million project.
‘I want to ask which talented person came up with this idea?’ asked one netizen on popular Chinese social media, Weibo.
‘Must be good feng shui,’ another said.
