Oh honey, NBC has ordered 23 new episodes of the Will & Grace revival.

We’ll be seeing a lot more of Will, Grace, Jack and Karen in season 2 and 3.

That would mean the multi-camera LGBTI comedy will get to 11 seasons by 2019.

The show stars Eric McCormack, Debra Messing, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes. The revival is NBC’s most watched primetime comedy.

‘As far as I’m concerned, we can’t get enough of Will & Grace, and 23 more episodes is music to my ears,’ NBC Entertainment chairman Robert Greenblatt said.

‘We’re eternally grateful that Debra, Eric, Sean and Megan feel the same way and wanted to keep this good thing going.

‘I’m overwhelmed by the euphoric response the new show has received from the press and the audience. My hat is off to Max Mutchnick and David Kohan… for consistently delivering one of the best shows on television.’

20 years of Will & Grace

The cast just celebrated the 20th year anniversary of when they shot the pilot.

Will & Grace creators/executive producers Max Mutchnick and David Kohan will return. Director James Burrows and a number of the original series writers will also be back.

The current first season of the Will & Grace revival has featured guest stars as Jennifer Lopez, Jane Lynch and Andrew Rannells.

But will we ever see a movie?

When the cast were promoting the revival in the UK, they were asked about a big screen adaption.

McCormack, however, insisted ‘they wouldn’t dare’.

But the show stars say we might get a musical instead.

McCormack said movies of TV shows don’t work:

‘Our show, being a four-camera sitcom with the audience, the time we shoot scenes without that it doesn’t feel right.

However Mullally followed this up by saying ‘I think there could be a Will & Grace musical’, which left all the cast nodding in agreement.

Mullaly has already appeared on Broadway in both Young Frankenstein and Grease.
