The fourth Winter Pride Maspalomas concluded yesterday in Gran Canaria. The Spanish island, which actually lies off the coast of Africa, is one of Europe’s most popular gay hotspots throughout the year – thanks in part to the consistently warm weather.

Winter Pride offered a whole week of fun and frolics in the sunshine, with associated events at the many gay bars and clubs in the Yumbo Center. There’s also a Pride Walk, attracting around 12,000 participants, and a main stage at the Yumbo, which played host to performances from Sonique, Corona, Livin’ Joy, Cristina Ramos and many other producers of dance classics.
