To celebrate Valentine’s Day, twelve LGBTQ couples paraded in the traditional ‘Kan mak’ custom to the Chiang Mai District Office where they requested authorities to give equal rights under the law to LGBTQ couples.
As rose petals paved their way, thrown by their supporters, the couples were greeted by a senior member of the District Secretary, Head of Administrative Administration Group, Chiang Mai, who welcomed them to the office, offering them all blessings in love. He told the group that he wished them all great love and happiness, and that the office would be happy to provide them with legal marriage services once the law of the land allowed.
