Glittering bingo bash by Wyoming Equality aims to improve LGBTQ healthcare access

CHEYENNE, Wyo. — Wyoming Equality is rolling out the red carpet for a glitter-filled fundraiser, “Queens for Care: A Glittering Bingo Bash While Fundraising for Equitable Healthcare,” set to light up the Red Lion Hotel and Conference Center on Saturday, March 16 at 6 p.m.

In an initiative to tackle the healthcare disparities faced by the LGBTQ community, Wyoming Equality has introduced the Wyoming Equality Healthcare Access Project. The project emerged from the findings of their Healthcare Access Survey, which highlighted the significant obstacles facing the Wyoming LGBTQ community in seeking equitable healthcare solutions, according to the organization’s website.

The evening promises a blend of entertainment, empowerment and community spirit, featuring dazzling performances by drag queens who will host bingo rounds filled with laughter, surprises and the chance to win fabulous prizes.

In addition to the fun and games, the event aims to raise awareness and funds for WEHAP’s goals, which include identifying affirming healthcare providers across Wyoming, providing educational resources to practitioners and expanding a directory of affirming providers to ensure the LGBTQ community has access to compassionate and competent care.

Tickets are available for $25, setting the stage for an night of glitz, glamor and generosity. “Queens for Care” not only offers a night of entertainment but also the opportunity to contribute to a more equitable healthcare system in Wyoming.
