Carbondale Hosts “At the Table” LGBTQ History Month Dinner

CARBONDALE, Ill. — The City of Carbondale is partnering with Golden Rainbows of Illinois South, SIU LGBTQ Resource Center, and Rainbow Cafe to celebrate LGBTQ History Month during the upcoming Carbondale “At the Table” Dinner & Dialogue event.

That event takes place Thursday, October 10, 2024 at the Carbondale Civic Center.

During the month of October, the City of Carbondale will celebrate the 30th anniversary of LGBTQ History Month in the United States.

Golden Rainbows of Illinois South (GRIS) will kick off the evening by highlighting the queer history of our region and state.

Attendees from diverse backgrounds will then personally reflect on the subject and discuss issues facing the aging LGBTQ community while enjoying a community meal.

This event is free and open to the public.

Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the Dinner & Dialogue will begin at 6:00 p.m.

Seating is limited and registration is preferred.
