WILMINGTON, NC (WWAY) — This year, the LGBTQ+ Center of the Cape Fear Coast put a fall twist on their Family Pride Festival!
Held at Long Leaf Park, the event served as a gathering space for the community, providing a fun and safe environment.
Attendees enjoyed arts and crafts, along with a costume parade featuring different organizations and families.
Jamie Windham, Executive Director of the LGBTQ+ Center of the Cape Fear Coast, shares what today is all about: “The inclusivity—seeing such a diverse group of people, and it also being family-friendly—means a lot. Many queer families want a place where they feel welcome, seen, and not scared.”
Windham also encourages everyone to check their social media for updates and announcements.
