Tanaïs is a queer fragrance brand run by founder Tanwi Nandini Islam, a New York City based author and perfumer, and beauty and studio director Talysha Moneé. The scents are inspired by their Bangladeshi heritage, their spiritual homes of India, Hawaii, Bali, Mexico, Morocco, the Mojave Desert, and Jamaica, as well as the non-duality of masc-femme and Afro-futurism. Fragrance can be tricky to gift if you don’t know your bestie’s scent preferences, so that’s why we recommend a sample set.
