People think Sam Smith’s new promo art makes it look like he’s having oral sex with a guy.
And at first glance, you might be convinced too.
The promo art is for a new version of Pray, a remixed version of the Thrill of It All track.
Smith had teamed up with the Maryland rapper Logic for the re-release.
This is the actual record label-approved promotional art:
Yes, those are Sam’s arms. It’s not another guy.
Some have made memes inserting an actual penis there. We’re not going to show that.
If you’ve been fooled, trust us by saying you’re not the only one.
Was Sam Smith’s promo art…intended to look like sex?
‘I thought the same thing when I saw it. Really got my hopes up,’ one said on Reddit.
Another said: ‘Sam Smith knows the implications there.’
The new version of Pray follows the release of Too Good at Goodbyes and One Last Song.
The Logic-featuring version of ‘Pray’ is out now and can be streamed below via YouTube.
Speaking about the release of the single, Smith wrote on Twitter: “I am so excited for you to hear this new version of one of my favourite tracks on the album.
‘It was an absolute pleasure to collaborate with Logic to create this, such an incredible artist.’
