YouTube Pride video starring Adam Rippon, Janelle Monae attracts masses of hate

A YouTube video featuring famous LGBTI faces celebrating their sexuality has attracted masses of hate online.

The video, featuring Olympian Adam Rippon, Pynk singer Janelle Monae and social media personality Tyler Oakley, currently has 29k likes and 71k dislikes.

The clip, titled #ProudToCreate and made to celebrate Pride Month, also features LGBTI singers such as Hayley Kiyoko and Mykki Blanco.

Comments ranged from ‘This is trash’ to ‘I lost braincells watching this rubbish’ to ‘We’ve failed as a species…’

Another person said ‘You shouldn’t be proud of your sexuality. it’s not an accomplishment,’ while another added: ‘Proud to create what? More AIDS?’

One more supportive person commented: ‘What’s up with all the dislikes. Damn just let the queer people have their day/month to themselves and move tf on. If ya actively clicking on this video just to hate on them, then that says more about you then them.
