Republican Jazmina Saavedra was a candidate for California’s 44th Congressional district

Jazmina Saavedra, a Republican who filmed herself harassing a trans woman in a LA Denny’s bathroom, has epically lost her political bid.

Saavedra won just 10% of the votes in the primary election for California’s 44th House District.

The winner was the incumbent Democrat Nanette Barragan, who landed 66% of the vote. In fourth place was Clueless star Stacey Dash, who dropped out of the race before the election.

Saaverda shared the offensive video on Facebook, which the site then removed, last month.

‘He’s saying he’s a lady’

In it, she was seen pacing around the bathroom, and says: ‘So, that guy is violating my right to use the ladies’ room here, and he’s saying he’s a lady! Stupid guy.’

She also implied in it that she had pepper spray and was willing to use it on the woman. The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) and the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law later called on California’s Attorney General to investigate the congressional candidate.

Addressing the controversy on Twitter yesterday, Saavedra once again misgendered the woman and accused her of being a drug addict.

‘HE is still a just a male drug addict using a ladies room,’ she posted.
