Keiynan Lonsdale, Lena Waithe and Lady Gaga were all recognized for their achievements in film at last night’s MTV Movie & TV Awards.
Lena, who co-writes and stars in Netflix’s Master of None, won the Trailblazer Award.
The openly gay star, who attended the awards with fiancee Alana Mayo, said in her acceptance speech: ‘I believe the only reason why I’m even allowed to stand here is because of a few other trailblazers that some of you might not be aware of.’
‘I recently found out I’m actually five foot three and three quarters’
Gaga: Five Foot Two won Best Music Documentary. The star saying on stage: ‘I love you little monsters so much!’
She furthermore added: ‘I just have one problem. I recently found out I’m actually five foot three and three quarters. I’m so, so sorry.’
Gaga’s next film, A Star Is Born is due in October. The musical costars Oscar winner Bradley Cooper, who also directs.
Meanwhile Keiynan Lonsdale and Nick Robinson won Best Kiss for their gay teen romance movie Love, Simon.

‘I like girls, & I like guys’
Keiynan came out as LGBTI in an Instagram post last year, saying: ‘I like to change my hair, I like to take risks with his I dress. I like girls, & I like guys.’
The ceremony took place at Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California and were presented by Girls Trip star Tiffany Haddish.
The film Blank Panther and the second season of Netflix’s Stranger Things were the big winners of the night, each taking home four awards. Both also received the most nominations (seven each).
Lady Gaga is one of the biggest music stars of her generation, selling as estimated 27 million albums and 146 million singles since her 2008 debut Just Dance topped charts around the world.
Meanwhile Lena is also known for appearing in films such as Dear White People, Step Sisters and this year’s Steven Spielberg blockbuster Ready Player One.
