Your usual packet of Skittles might look a bit paler this Pride month. Fear not, as those tiny, fruity pieces of heaven are just as they used to be. Their packaging and logo have undergone a little Pride makeover, though.
Sponsor of our Prides & Festival section, the company got rid of the signature rainbow to celebrate the only rainbow that matters this month, that of Pride.
However, not all the colors have gone for good. The sweet manufacturer, in fact, released a series of 14 exclusive colorful videos to express love and support to the LGBTI community in the most vibrant way.
Skittles will also be part of Gay Star News Pride in London pop-up shop takeover. If you’re in the capital, head to 72 Old Compton Street, in the heart of Soho, on 30 June.
We will hand out special Pride goodie tote bags, created by Turkish designer Sadi Guran. And yes, our beloved candies will be in them. Beware, they’re addictive. But you know that already, don’t you?
Head to Skittles official social media pages or check our Prides section for more yummy updates. Watch today’s video below:
8 days to Pride… and because only one rainbow matters, we’ve given ours up.
Rainbowless packs are back with each pack raising money for Switchboard – the LGBT+ Helpline. Give the rainbow. Taste the rainbow. #onerainbow pic.twitter.com/4zLoOEb3nb— Skittles UK (@uk_skittles) June 29, 2018
