It reads in the Times: ‘BLACK-DALEY On 27th June 2018 to Thomas Robert Daley and Dustin Lance Black, a son, Robert Ray.’
The son is named Robert after Daley’s father, who died from cancer in 2011.
The new parents also announced their engagement in the same newspaper.
Daley, 24, and 44-year-old Black got engaged in 2015 and married in Devon last year.
The couple have been victim of homophobic abuse online.

Daley spoke about using a surrogate on Fearne Cotton’s Happy Place podcast in March.
He said: ‘With Kim Kardashian West, people felt sorry she’s not able to have to have a child because of health reasons “how lovely it is that a surrogate has been willing to do that”.
‘But for every other gay couple that is not able to have a child, but desperately would love to bring up a child like any heterosexual couple, we have been treated quite differently.’
They were accused of ‘depriving’ their child the existence of a mother.
Dustin said on Radio 5 Live: ‘There’s all different kinds of families out there in the world and for many many different reasons, some more tragic than others.
‘Children are raised by single parents all the time, and those children, I’d like to claim myself as one who was raised by a single mother for some difficult reasons, I think I had a very strong mother who raised me incredibly well.”
He continued: ‘Will it be important that our son meet women in his life? Absolutely, absolutely and that will be there, it would be wrong to deprive a child of that and frankly bizarre and probably impossible.’
