Madonna performs Beautiful Game
Madonna has performed a new song, Beautiful Game, in a surprise birthday video.
The now 60-year-old superstar posted the performance from this year’s Met Gala.
She said: ‘In celebration of my birthday, and as a “thank you” for all your donations on my Birthday Fundraiser, I wanted to share a very special performance from this year’s Met Gala’.
The yearly fashion exhibition had a Catholic theme, titled Heavenly Bodies, so Madonna was a natural choice.

Beautiful Game starts at about 6:05.
She also opened her set with Like A Prayer and also performed a chilling cover of Leonard Cohen’s Hallelujah.
Dark-tinged pop, Beautiful Game calls to mind both her recent ballads on Rebel Heart as well as the atmospheric production from Ray of Light.
She previously posted on Instagram the name and artwork of the single.
Madonna’s last album, Rebel Heart was released in 2015.
‘Coming Soon!’
She shared news of Beautiful Game along with the caption: ‘That I never Learned………….Coming Soon! #music #magic #mirwais’
Mirwais is the name of a producer that the Material Girl singer worked with on two successive but wildly different albums.
The first, Music, was released in the year 2000 and is one of the biggest-selling and most critically acclaimed LPs of the second half of her career.
She followed it up with American Life – one of the lowest-selling and critically-ridiculed.
The album’s lead single, also called American Life, featured the iconic lyrics: ‘I got a lawyer and a manager an agent and a chef, three nannies, an assistant and a driver and a jet, a trainer and a butler and a bodyguard or five, a gardener and a stylist – do you think I’m satisfied?’
