Boy George has discussed his long-rumored feud with Madonna.
The singing icon joked ‘she hates me!’ in a new interview, adding: ‘I don’t know [why], there’s so many reasons.’
The Culture Club frontman was speaking on Nova’s Fitzy & Wippa radio show when he discussed the Material Girl.
‘I’ve always been a secret Madonna fan’
The Karma Chameleon singer furthermore continued: ‘I don’t know if she [really] hates me anymore,’ before making a confession that might come as a surprise to some.
‘I’ve always been a secret Madonna fan, really,’ he admitted.
‘I’ve got quite a few of her records,’ the star furthermore added. ‘We just never ever kind of managed to meet, it’s the weirdest thing.’
The Boy’s comments follow explosive claims he made in 2006.
‘I just think she’s a vile, hideous, horrible human being with no redeeming qualities,’ he said at the time. ‘There’s nothing nice about her. I’ve never heard anyone say anything nice about her at all.’
Madonna, who recently turned 60, is to release a new single and album later this year.
Meanwhile, Boy George’s band Culture Club recently returned with a new single Let Somebody Love You.
It is the first release from their upcoming album, Life.
