Luca Guadagnino has slammed a man for using his phone throughout the premiere of his new movie Suspiria.
The openly gay director told AP/USA Today: ‘There was one guy, like row 10 down below, who was watching his phone all the time.’
He furthermore added: ‘I spent the entire evening thinking, “I’m going to go down there and tell him to stop [using] his fucking phone now because it’s so disrespectful. You have this light in the darkness of the theater” and I really hated it.’
Suspiria, Luca’s remake of the classic 1977 horror of the same name, is about a girl who attends a German ballet school secretly run by witches.
Suspiria stars Dakota Fanning, Tilda Swinton and Chloe Grace Moretz.

The director of course also helmed the critically-acclaimed 2017 movie Call Me By Your Name.
The film looked at a gay love affair between a teenager and a 20-something man.
It won the Best Writing, Adapted Screenplay Oscar this year. Its stars Armie Hammer and Timothee Chalamet were also nominated in the acting categories.
‘I am scribbling ideas’
Speaking to IndieWire, Luca also recently addressed rumors of a sequel to the romantic drama.
‘I am scribbling ideas. The truth of the matter is that I love the characters of “Call Me by Your Name,”‘ he said. ‘And the opportunity to bring them back for more adventures is something that is infectious to me.’
He also added: ‘It’s not that I am a sort of unsatisfied person who needs to continue stories that have been made and accomplished in themselves.’
