US figure skater Adam Rippon may have found his calling after professional skating — Olympics commentary with Saturday Night Live’s Leslie Jones.
The comedian, a well-known Olympics fan, recently flew to South Korea for the games. While watching events, Jones posts live reactions to social media and people love it.
Rippon joined her to provide commentary for Canadian ice dancing team Tessa Virtue and Scott Moir’s short program. Last night, the pair won gold — their second of these games following the big team event.
Needless to say, Jones and Rippon make the best duo and this is the only commentary needed.
“Are they getting in trouble for how sexy they are?”@lesdoggg and @adaripp commentating on @tessavirtue and @scottmoir‘s short dance is everything we could have ever wanted. AND MORE. #WinterOlympics https://t.co/fmMl0C4Amf pic.twitter.com/ykkNvv7L5p

Perhaps the best part is that Rippon was a surprise for Jones, who was initially doing commentary with Scott Hamilton alone.
‘Steamy!’
Jones has been particularly vocal about figure skating outfits during these Olympics. However, she’s a fan of Virtue.
‘Yas! That is an outfit right there!’ Jones exclaims while Rippon laughs. ‘Every outfit she’s put on I wanna wear to the club.’
As Hamilton calls the pair steamy, Jones asks the important question: ‘Are they getting in trouble for how sexy they are?’
‘When I watch her,’ Rippon chimes in. ‘Sometimes I can feel my hair growing.’
Jones agrees: ‘She just makes me feel like a woman.’
‘Yeah, I get it,’ Rippon says.
Finally, Jones adds in her own two cents about the theories of Virtue and Moir being a couple: ‘There’s no way you can do this together and not date.’
Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski, the official NBC commentators for figure skating, are fan-favorites but they have just been outdone.
Rippon recently turned down an offer from NBC to become a correspondent. He didn’t want to leave the Olympic Village while his teammates are still competing. Aww!
