Andrew Garfield just weighed in on that infamous Miss Vanjie exit from RuPaul’s Drag Race.

Speaking to Paul Wontorek for Broadway.com, the Tony award nominee believes it’s a moment that will go down in history.

Garfield said: ‘I was so disappointed to see Miss Vanjie go [home] – as everyone was. And that exit is like one of the iconic moments – I believe – of Drag Race history.’

He goes on to ask why she said her name three times: ‘What the hell was that?

‘Were you taken over by a divine entity? It’s hypnotized the culture.

An ‘iconic’ impression

He then says: ‘I feel changed… Bruce Springsteen and Miss Vanjie – I feel changed by, so far this year. Maybe Miss Vanjie slightly more profoundly.’

And then comes an iconic impression of the viral moment.

Andrew Garfield is nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actor in a Play with his role in Angels in America.

Angels in America is actually the most nominated play in Tony history.

Garfield previously said he’s open to gay sex in an interview with OUT magazine.

The Amazing Spider-Man star said: ‘I have an openness to any impulses that may arise.’

But he clarified he’s only been attracted to women in the past.

He then said: ‘I have an openness to any impulses that may arise within me at any time. But, if I were to identify, I would identify as heterosexual.’

Last year, the Oscar-nominated star also came ‘under fire’ for saying he’s ‘a gay man without the physical act’ during a Q&A at the National Theatre.
