Boy George and Culture Club are returning with new single Let Somebody Love You – their first in 20 years.

The song has been a fixture of their live set for some time, but was never before granted a studio recording.

The band are set to release their sixth album Life, which is already available for pre-order, on 26 October.

The band are taking their new album, along with their back catalogue, on the road. The Life Tour visits the US and Europe throughout the second half of 2018, including a slot at Gothenburg EuroPride on 18 August.

Boy George said of the tour: ‘We put together an amazing show that is going to be filled with hits and fabulous memories.’

Belinda Carlisle joining the band on tour

Belinda Carlisle and Thompson Twin’s Tom Bailey are scheduled for support.

Culture Club formed in 1981. They became one of the most famous and influential British bands of the 1980s. The band combined multiple genres, fusing new wave and reggae with myriad pop sounds.

Boy George became an icon and tabloid fixture, and his sexuality was a focal point of media attention.

Many of Culture Club’s songs, including Do You Really Want To Me? and Time (Clock of the Heart), are instantly recognizable pop classics. They topped both the UK and US singles charts with Karma Chameleon.
