The annual Bristol Pride parade will mark the final weekend of the most popular LGBTI festival in Southwest England.
7,000 people joined the march last year to make a stand for diversity and equality and more are expected on Saturday 14 July.
Bristol Pride’s route
This year’s gathering point is Castle Park at 11am, before the march heads off to Pride’s new home in the Bristol Amphitheatre and Millennium Square.
The route is 2 miles long and will take about an hour to complete. The organizers have tried to reduce the number of hills the march takes. Definitely not an easy challenge in Bristol, a city which claims to be built on seven hills just like ancient Rome.
Those with restricted mobility or wheelchair users may struggle with the first loop around Cabot Circus, due to hills, but can join the parade as it passes Castle Park again.

The main stage at Bristol Pride boasts a diverse lineup.
The X Factor winner and London’s West End favorite Alexandra Burke will headline. Alternative rock band Republic and electro duo Avec Sans will also perform.
Furthermore, Madonna and P!nk impersonators Melissa Totten and Zoe Alexander will warm the crowd with the two singers’ most popular anthems.

Bristol Pride promotes inclusivity
A special event with UK Black Pride and collective KIKI Bristol will precede the parade day on Friday 13 July.
The night will be an occasion to hear speakers from UK Black Pride including its founder Lady Phyll Opoku-Gyimah. Attendees will also have the chance to meet other LGBTI PoC ahead of Pride Day.
After Pride day, you can cure the blues at the Old Market Assembly with the BiPride social event on 15 July. Members of the national Bi Pride UK team will attend Bristol Pride to share plans for next year’s Bi Pride event in March.

The official afterparty
Pride Night will see Bristol come alive and carry on the Bristol Pride celebrations in Old Market and Frogmore Street for Tempest, the official afterparty at the Bristol O2 Academy. The night is a special fundraising event to help keep Pride day free of charge.
There will be three rooms of international and local DJs, performances, and dancers. Take your best outfit out of your closet and follow the dress code: Otherworld, Underwater, Glittering Goddesses, Myths and Legends.

Bristol Pride has teamed up with other afterparties Hush, Queenshilling, and Punka to offer a special offer to those who will purchase a wristband. With a £15 Pride Day+Night wristband, in fact, you get all the Pride Day discounts, but also entry to four out of five Pride afterparties.
B, Please will be the only exception. Held at The Love Inn, the night will see DJ October, ZenZero, Ellie Rhino Stokes, and Suze Rosser spinning records, plus special performances from Kiki House of LaVolta, Duchess Dominique Fleek, and Carmen Monoxide. All info on the afterparties here.
