British actor Russell Tovey is engaged to rugby player and fitness trainer Steve Brockman.
The Sun revealed that Tovey, 36, and Brockman shared the news with friends and family.
The couple began getting serious last year when Brockman moved to New York with Tovey when his play, Angels in America, went to Broadway.
Around that time, Tovey also said he ‘totally’ down to get married when the time is right. And that time seems to be now.
GSN reached out to Tovey and Brockman for comment and to confirm the news.
The happy couple
Tovey and Brockman share their relationship via social media, and it also often involves dogs.
Recently, Tovey posted this photo of Brockman and the pups taking a walk on the beach,
They celebrated New Year’s Eve together with friends in London.
Enjoying the snowy winter.
All about celebrating the holidays together.
Or going out for drag night.
Embracing life as a gay actor
Tovey gained prominence as an actor with his roles in Being Human and The History Boys. He also appeared in HBO’s queer series Looking.
Currently, he stars on the ABC procedural Quantico.
He also appeared as a gay superhero, The Ray, on the Flash. Lately he’s been embracing his life as a gay actor and going after diverse roles. He hopes someday gay actors playing gay characters will be ‘normal‘.
