Step aside, Batman and Captain America, there are new superheroes in town. Netflix today released the first look at their brand new animated series, Super Drags.

The international series from Brazil follows three department store workers.

By day, they deal with their uptight bosses. And by night, they transform into their drag superhero alter-egos. They have to ‘combat shade and rescue the world’s glitter from the evil villains’.

Of course, they also have fabulous names: Lemon Chiffon, Cran’s Sapphire and Crimson Scarlet.

Brazil’s Combo Studio produced the series.

‘We are thrilled that our first Brazilian animation will present our audiences with the daring, scandalous and fabulous world of Super Drags!’ said Chris Sanagustin, Netflix’s Director of Original International Content.

‘Netflix is fortunate to invest in great animation talent from Brazil, bringing the vibrant trait of Combo and the acidic mood of our producers to the beautiful and the canvases from every corner.’

Plenty of LGBTI content on Netflix

The streaming giant has been making important steps for LGBTI representation in media.

Coming up, they have Alex Strangelove, a new raunchy gay teen comedy, as well as First Ladies, a gay political comedy starring Tig Notaro and Jennifer Aniston.

Though they made the heartbreaking decision to cancel Sense8, they’re also bringing it back one last time.

Plus, the second season of Queer Eye is almost here!
