I always assumed Cher was a being of pure light, born into this world as a gift to teach the the gays about bops and autotune. But it turns out she has a mother.

To be able to not only create a being like Cher, but to raise one means that we as a people have to take her mother, Georgia Holt’s opinion very seriously.

That lovely mother has heard Cher’s latest album of ABBA covers and finally revealed her favourite song.

A Twitter user asked the pop superstar: ‘@cher Did you play the new cd for you r mom today mama lovely?’

To which she replied: ‘Yup… she bopped & [blowing smoke out of the nose emoji’.

Cher

Not sure what she means by that, but moving on, journalist Darren Scott followed up with a question ‘What’s her favourite song on the album?’

Cher replies: ‘Wait…. I’ll Ask her…. OK

ONE OF US & WINNER

SHE. CRIED’

Cher

That’s very sweet. But why is she crying about the song? Is it emotional? Well, according to the goddess herself, it’s because all the songs have their own energy, or something. She Tweeted the day before about each song on the album.

‘Songs are individuals

DONT BOTHER…

1. MAMMA MIA &WATERLOO THEY’RE JUMPING ON [BED]& RUNNING AROUND STAGE

2. WINNER & ONE OF US ARE CRYING

3. NAME OF GAME IS 3 [COLD BREATH AND SNOWFLAKE EMOJI]

4 [DANCING QUEEN], SHES 2 [FIRE AND FINGER ON LIPS]

5. NANDO WANTS” DO NOT DISTURB SIGN”

6. CHUIQUITITA

HAS BROKEN A FEATHER

7. SOS,IS”WHAT HAPPENED”[EMBARRASSED EMOJI]’

Cher

Now, there’s a lot to unpack here, because absolutely none of it made any sort of sense. I suppose ‘Winner and One of Us are crying’ refers to her mom crying? How has no one come up with queer icon Rosetta Stone yet? Luckily, the star herself “clarified” the comments in a follow up:

CherSure thing, Cher. Sure thing.
