LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — An upcoming resource fair is working to unite and support LGBTQ+ families.

Clark County Department of Family Services and The LGBTQ Center of Southern Nevada are partnering to host the “Safe Homes, Open Hearts” community event on Thursday, February 22.

Those interested in fostering and adopting are invited to The Center on South Maryland Parkway from 5 – 8 p.m. to learn how to become a caregiver.

“Loving foster and adoptive parents from all backgrounds, including the LGBTQ+ community, are pivotal in providing stability and care for our youth,” said Patrick Barkley in a news release, Clark County Family Services Deputy Director.
