A group of Dublin dads surprised their LGBTI kids with a rainbow-filled bus direct to Pride.
Dublin Bus News posted the tear-jerking video on Monday (2 July) and it’s since warmed the hearts of almost 10,000 people.
‘This year at Pride, we had the proudest bus in the parade,’ they wrote in the caption for the video. ‘Not because it had the most glitter or flags, because it had the proudest people, Proud Dads.
They added: ‘Gwan ahead and warm the cockles of your heart.’
In the video, one of the dads wears a red plaid shirt with rainbow suspenders.
He then says in the video: ‘Anybody would be delighted to have one gay son, but to have two – I’d impress anybody with that story!’
Another of the dads says: ‘Eight months ago, she told us she was trans. And two months ago, she said she’s changing her name to Michael and she’s going to be he.’
Watch the beautiful video:
We also can’t stop gushing over these grandparents who are super proud of their LGBTI grand kids.
84-year-old Elizabeth said on her granddaughter Louise: ‘She’s marrying her wonderful partner Rachael next year and I can’t wait to see them make that commitment. It will be the highlight of my 85th year, for sure.
‘She is totally brilliant and now a great role model to others,’ she added.
Grandma Rosa told her gay grandson Luis when he came out: ‘So what? You are my grandson and you will always be my grandson. I love you.’
