Demi Lovato is reportedly still in the hospital after her drug overdose last week.

TMZ first reported the singer remains under medical surveillance after suffering from ‘complications’. The article indicates the complications include a high fever and nausea.

A source further told TMZ that ‘she is under the care of medical experts and expected to make a full recovery’.

Lovato was first rushed to the hospital last Tuesday following the apparent overdose. Though early reports indicated it was heroin, sources quickly disputed that. Then reports said it was an opiod overdose.

According to Variety, she was treated with Narcan, which is a medication that rapidly reverses the effects of an opiod.

Once she is released from the hospital, she is set to re-enter rehab.

Lovato recently released the single Sober, which hinted she had broken her 6-year sobriety. The Sorry Not Sorry singer has long been candid about her battles with substance abuse and mental illness.

A source said that Lovato is ‘very grateful to be alive’.

‘Her family has been by her side supporting her and is getting her the help she needs.’
