Parker Cobb, founder of Sunny Parks and creator of the Q Guide app, was recently featured in a documentary produced by The Trevor Project. The documentary, “Stories of Pride: Pride in Action,” highlights the actions young people have taken for their community and themselves and the supportive actions of adults and allies that have positively impacted those LGBTQ+ young people.
During the documentary, Parker, who uses they/them pronouns, shared personal experiences related to LGBTQ+ issues and discussed the mission behind Sunny Parks and their app, Q Guide. Sunny Parks’ mission is “Brightening the World Through Change.” With their app, Parker has transformed LGBTQ lives across the world and provided education on Queer identities.
Regarding the documentary and LGBTQ+ inclusivity, Parker stated, “I am excited and honored to have worked with The Trevor Project, as I’ve followed and interacted with their work for years. Being part of the documentary was an empowering opportunity to amplify my passion for creating positive change.”
The collaboration between Sunny Parks/Q Guide and The Trevor Project highlights a shared commitment to promoting LGBTQ+ rights, inclusivity, and support. The Trevor Project primarily aids young LGBTQ individuals who are struggling with mental health. The existence of young activists like Parker creates hope for a better, and more accepting tomorrow.
