Doctors invent new tool to remove large dildo from man’s anus

Doctors were forced to invent a tool to remove a 23 inch dildo lodged inside a man’s anus.

A red-faced 31-year-old turned up to a hospital in Italy after struggling to remove the sex toy.

He went to the ASST Great Metropolitan Hospital in Niguarda 24 hours after the dildo became stuck.

The adventurous solo pleasure-seeker said he was suffering from ‘mild abdominal pain’.

However, thankfully, he didn’t have any other symptoms that were cause for concern.

Doctors gave him an x-ray, and found a ‘long and large-sized’ foreign body in his colon.

Medical professionals tried to remove the dildo in typical ways, such as using a ‘grabbing device’.

However, the object was difficult to grab due to its ‘smoothness and size’.

The grabbing devices were either too loose or didn’t have the range to latch onto the dildo, the doctors wrote in a case report.

Someone quickly thought of inventing a new tool. One doctor used medical wire to latch onto it, create a ‘noose’ and pull it out like a lasso.

Doctors threaded the wire through a catheter tube to create a ‘noose’. Finally, they looped the noose around the dildo and tightened it. Finally, they could pull it out.

The patient was discharged the same day.

‘Our new “handmade” device… allowed us to grab the foreign body,’ Dr Lorenzo Dioscoridi wrote in the British Medical Journal case report.

‘The choice of a relatively large diameter of the catheter (2.8mm) allowed us to avoid an excessive kinking of the loop inside the catheter that could limit a correct opening of this snare-like device.

‘In our opinion, this new technique is easy and reproducible in most endoscopy rooms. We suggest it as a valid option to remove large foreign bodies from the colon and rectum when standard endoscopic devices fail in foreign body extraction.’
