We had a feeling that Drag Race Thailand was going to be fierce, but after the first episode dropped we are positively gagging.

The Thai version of the popular reality show RuPaul’s Drag Race follows the same format of its mother show but with a whole new flair.

In the first runway challenge, queens had to serve their best 3-in-1 look and boy, did they deliver. Some of the reveals were so unexpected they put Roxxxy Andrews to shame.

See what I mean?

Thai drag Art Arya hosts the show with Thai-Taiwanese performer Pangina Heals serving as her cohost.

While the format is very close to the original show, the runway judges don’t exactly exude the manufactured cool of RuPaul.

Watch them completely lose their minds when Année Maywong hits the runway.

Production company World of Wonder (WoW) owns the rights to Drag Race and one of its founders, Fenton Bailey is excited to see what the Thai version will serve.

‘We’re totally excited about Drag Race Thailand,’ he told NewNowNext.

‘Drag is part of the Thai culture, in some ways more than it has been in the U.S., historically speaking. Even though they are following the format, I want them to bring their own inimitable style and characteristics.

‘They should being their own creativity, uniqueness, nerve, and talent. And I think they are doing that!’

Twitter has a meltdown

People took to Twitter to share their delight over the first episode and their reactions do not disappoint.
