An 18-year-old guy just came out to his parents and filmed the entire experience in a now viral emotional video.

Twitter user  took to the social media platform yesterday (27 July) to upload the tear-filled video.

‘July 27, 2018,’ he wrote in the tweet. ‘Today I came out to my parents.

‘I was so scared and it’s not easy to come out. I loved their reactions and their little advice they gave me. I can finally live my life.

‘I love my parents and all the people that have supported me throughout my journey,’ he said.

The emotional video shows Rodriguez crying and wiping away tears while riding in the back of a car with his parents in the front.

In Spanish, he starts off by apologizing for crying.

His mom asks: ‘Why are you crying?’

He replies: ‘Because I have watched videos where the parent doesn’t love the kids anymore because of coming out.’

The parents respond: ‘No you are the same, and we love you.’

Parents: ‘You are a normal kid’

They also say they don’t care if he is gay or not – he is normal – and they will support him no matter what.

‘We are proud of you, and you’re a good kid,’ they say.

Rodriguez also talks about people looking at him for the way he dresses.

Then his mom reveals one of her friends actually told her that she loves the way he dresses and he starts crying more.

They then repeat: ‘You are a normal kid.’
