Gay porn star Dave Slick has died at just 26 years old after an annual sex-themed expo.

He had attended the Exxotica Expo, an annual adult convention, in Chicago.

Police found him unconscious in the Qdoba restaurant bathroom on the 100 block of West Jackson on Friday morning (8 June).

He was transported to Rush University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead 15 minutes later.

The Chicago Sun said an autopsy done on Saturday was ‘inconclusive’, with results pending further studies.

Friends had said he was due to appear at the convention on Saturday, and reported him missing to police in the afternoon.

Investigators had learned he died a day earlier.

Rosemont police have said Slick was last seen with a friend in Chicago at 1am in the early hours of Friday morning. He contacted someone using his phone about 7 hours late.

CPD is conducting a death investigation.

Slick was identified by other stars of the porn industry, and his name was later confirmed by porn blogs.

The cause of his death has not been confirmed.

Performers and directors pay tribute to the young star

Performers, directors and other leaders of the gay porn industry have given their tributes to the young actor.

Chi Chi LaRue said they were ‘devastated’ to hear of the news.

Tony DiMarco, director for Falcon, said: ‘It’s heartbreaking to hear the news of the passing of Dave Slick. It’s really hard to process it all.

‘He was a super sweet guy and kind soul. My deepest sympathy’s go out to all his friends and family.

‘Gone too soon, you will be greatly missed.’

Tegan Zayne said: ‘It’s a tough world out there, we all gotta stick together one way or the other. Drama or no drama, we’re all connected to each other..’

Michael Roman said: ‘Dave you are without a doubt one of the most generous, kind-hearted, and all around incredible people I have ever met!

‘Wherever you are just know you are so loved by so many people and will be so greatly missed!’

‘I am completely speechless and saddened,’ performer Pierce Paris said.

‘I didn’t know him well but I still feel like I lost a friend. We’re one big family in this industry. We must care for everyone in it. Let’s keep each other close and share love.’
