Chelsea Handler is joining the next series of Will & Grace.
The US actress will play in a ‘high-powered lesbian’ in the new episodes, according to sources close to the show.
The star’s known for her Netflix show Chelsea Does and the 2013 Lifetime movie Call Me Crazy: A Five Film.
Chelsea will play the role of Donna in the show.
Spoiler alert: Donna, a high-powered client of Grace’s, will begin dating her bitter sister Janet (played by Mary McCormack) according to EW.
The star is also known for working on E!’s Chelsea Lately for seven years.
Her last time was on the Muppets primetime show in 2015.
Last year, Will & Grace was renewed for a ninth season after the eighth season wrapped in 2006. Such was the success of the show’s return that season 10 was ordered before season nine had wrapped.
The new season returns 4 October.

Earlier this month, Will & Grace won five Primetime Emmy Award nominations; among them, an Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series nod for Megan Mullally.
Reacting to the news, Megan said in a statement: ‘I’m thrilled and grateful to be nominated for an Emmy today! As if “Will & Grace” coming back in the first place wasn’t enough, to have the chance to play Karen Walker again feels like a miracle to me.’
She furthermore continued: “‘Will & Grace’ allowed me to move out of my apartment in West Hollywood and buy clothes from stores that weren’t Jet Rag. It’s given me confidence and changed my life. Thanks and kisses to all the Emmy voters. xox ??’
