Hackers interrupt live online debate with gay porn

Written by gaytourism

Hackers interrupted a live California Congressional debate with a short clip of gay porn on Thursday (17 May).

During the live online forum hosted by Independent Like the North State, Green party candidate Lewis Elbinger and Democrat David Peterson began with their opening remarks.

The debate was broadcasted online as well as on radio station KFOI 90.9 FM. But right after their opening statements, hackers infiltrated the feed with gay porn.

A few seconds of two men engaging in sexual acts flashed across the screen.

As soon as the moderator realized the interruption, he said: ‘Looks like we got hacked, we’ll try to fix this,’ reports KRCR-TV. They stopped the broadcast immediately.

There is no known recording of the incident.

‘We’re already making plans to reschedule the candidate forum’

Moderator Chris Verrill took to Facebook to explain the situation.

He said: ‘It’s disappointing that some pranksters disrespected the democratic process. But the North State is a great community and we won’t let a few bad apples spoil the whole barrel.

Verrill then said: ‘We’re already making plans to reschedule the candidate forum so we can work together to move forward.’

The debate was to showcase candidates for the upcoming election in California’s first congressional district.

The candidates are facing off against incumbent Republican Douglas LaMalfa.

It’s not the first time homoerotic images mistakenly occupied political spaces.

Australian politician Chris Pyne claims hackers infiltrated his Twitter account and liked a gay porn clip.

Hackers also hijacked the Twitter accounts of ISIS with loads of gay porn.
