Hugh Grant has revealed that he got a rash from Ben Whishaw’s beard after kissing him for their new TV show.
The Four Weddings and a Funeral star appears alongside Lilting actor Ben in the upcoming BBC miniseries A Very English Scandal.
‘There we were on a Sunday morning shooting, we do a whole love story really in a day,’ Hugh said. ‘We just went for it. I got a rash. I went home to my kids with a rash from Ben’s beard.’
The first episode of the three-part drama airs on Sunday 20, May at 9pm on BBC One.
‘When he was my wife, we were a very unhappy couple’
Hugh and Ben portrayed a married couple in the film Cloud Atlas.
Reminiscing about the film, Hugh furthermore joked to Metro: ‘When he was my wife, we were a very unhappy couple. In this one, we just went for it.’
Ben, who is best known as Q in the last two Bond films , married his husband Mark Bradshaw in 2012.
