More details of the two Premier League British footballers being bullied by homophobic teammates have emerged. Sources say one of the men has found a sex toy left in his car as part of the bullying campaign.

Another found a note reading ‘f****t’ under his kit before a game.

News first came out about the sportsmen, believed to be in a relationship by some of the other players, receiving abuse back in March.

An unnamed source told The Sun: ‘The atmosphere at the club has been toxic and the targeted players left distraught.

‘A lot of players are actively seeking transfers because of it.’

The tipster also added that the abuse is down to ‘four of five poisonous people,’ and that the rest are angry at management for not intervening.

‘The vast majority of the lads are totally supportive’

In March, a source said of the problem: ‘The vast majority of the lads are totally supportive. But one African player has properly kicked off and is making it plain he’s against gay relationships.’

They furthermore added: ‘There’s been real bad blood at the training ground since. Coaching staff have had to step in to calm things down.’
