A picture of a newborn baby posted on Facebook is going viral for moving and inspiring reasons.
Patricia and Kimberly O’Neill faced many trials over the course of their four-year fertility treatment, with the hopes of starting a family together. After more than one thousands shots and three miscarriages, they recently greeted their newborn baby, London.
The couple sought out the talents of Samantha Packer from Packer Family Photography to do a photoshoot of their child.
The results are stunning and incredibly profound.

‘This is the first time I have been asked to do a photo like this! I was honored and wanted to create something special!’ Packer wrote.
‘Mom said, “4 years, 7 attempts, 3 miscarriages and 1,616 shots.”‘
Packer further told HuffPost: ‘I didn’t know the whole story, but I knew that they had already lost a baby because they had contacted me the year previously with a different pregnancy.’
The parents gave Packer the thousand-plus needles and told her she could arrange them however she wanted.
‘I chose the heart to show the love through the pain of the journey that got them to the sweet baby girl.’
Their incredible story
Patricia faced her first two miscarriages in 2016, and then one last year.
Eventually, the couple learned Patricia had a blood-clotting condition. Her doctor then prescribed her two daily shots of blood-thinning medicine, along with the IVF shots.
Kimberly decided to save all the needles and caps.
‘It was amazing to see them all laid out,’ Patricia told People Magazine. ‘To look at them all and go, “Man, I was able to do that. I was able to get through that.”
‘It’s inspiring to hear other women sharing their stories on a topic that’s kind of taboo,’ she added. ‘It’s been great to see some women that are like, “You’re giving us hope to get through this.” Because you truly need that.’
