Pride Month may be over, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t still things to keep enjoying for the celebration. Queer artist and actor Keiynan Lonsdale released a new single right before June ended and it’s the perfect send-off.
The video sees Lonsdale finding the beauty both within himself and in the world.
By doing this, he is able to become the Rainbow Boy, embrace the reality of magic, and send away with the storm clouds with a burst of color.

‘I wrote “Preach” over a year ago,’ he told Fader. ‘But I didn’t know what it actually meant, or its significance to my life, until several months later.’
Being along for the ride
Lonsdale, who first gained fame on the CW series The Flash, before stepping away to pursue his own journey, has always been a figure of honesty and authenticity.
He first came out as queer in May of 2017.
Since then, he has been completely committed to being himself — and shutting down haters in the meantime.
‘Both the song and the video have become like my mirrors, so everything good & bad that comes with one’s own reflection has of course presented itself through this project,’ he continued, addressing the new song.
‘I want everyone to have their own interpretation of it for them, but for me it’s about fucking with your own soul, agreeing to be on the ride together no matter what, and discovering/remembering that magic is real if you believe it so.’
