Lady Gaga arrived at the Venice Film Festival today and basically won the whole thing. Oh, there aren’t awards for best film festival entrance? Well, there are now.
The Joanne singer is attending the elite and glamorous festival because her upcoming movie, A Star Is Born, is having its world premiere there.
Festivals like Venice and Cannes are great sighting opportunities for celebrities looking their best in sunny Europe. Remember Kristen Stewart taking her shoes off on the Cannes red carpet?
But now the bar has been set by Gaga — and this is why.

Boat entrance? Check.
Legs hanging over the side? Check.
Pincurls? Check.
Waving a beautiful pink flower? Check.
Literally no other film festival entrance will ever compare, everyone else go home.

A Star Is Born is a musical remake of the 1937 film of the same name. It’s the third such remake, following 1954’s with Judy Garland and 1976’s with Barbara Streisand.
Bradley Cooper co-stars in the new iteration with Gaga, and the film also marks his directorial debut.
A sweet story from the film’s early days recently came out.
When Gaga came in to audition, Cooper took out a makeup wipe and took off all her makeup. She ended up wearing lip balm and moisturizer only for the film.
The film is one of the most talked-about movies of the year. Since its first trailer dropped, awards murmurs have followed the film incessantly. A recent review of the film — accidentally released before the embargo lifted — declared it a bonafide classic.
A Star Is Born hits theaters on 5 October.
