Lily Allen slept with female sex workers around the release of her Sheezus album in 2014, the star has said.
The Smile singer made the disclosure in an Instagram post ahead of the release of her memoir My Thoughts Exactly.
She took to the social media site to preempt a report by The Mail ‘cause someone leaked’ the information, she explained.
‘I was lost and lonely and looking for something’
Lily wrote: ‘Sooo, in my book “My Thoughts Exactly” (out on 20th Sept) I detail some stuff from my dark days, around the Sheezus era. I slept with female escorts when I was on tour, cause I was lost and lonely and looking for something.’
The L8 CMMR singer furthermore added: ’I’m not proud, but I’m not ashamed. I don’t do it anymore. The Mail are gonna run with the story tomorrow cause someone leaked it, and they’re bound to make sound [sic] worse than it was. Just wanted to give you Er, the “heads up”’.
‘It’s definitely a breach of contract’
She also said: ‘Apparently someone who’s read the book has given him [MoS’s Robbie Griffiths] the story.
‘We’ve asked Blink for the full list of who’s been serviced because everyone has signed an NDA so it’s definitely a breach of contract. Not many that I’m aware of would stoop so low so I’m going to through [sic] the rest to try and work out who’s responsible.’
Lily is known for hits such as LDN, Somewhere Only We Know and Air Balloon. Her latest album No Shame charted at number eight in the UK album charts.
