In a recent interview, Lindsay Lohan addressed the Me Too movement that’s taken Hollywood by storm and said it makes women ‘look weak’.
While speaking with The Times, Lohan said she never experienced any negative, #MeToo-style situations while in Hollywood.
‘I don’t really have anything to say,’ she said. ‘I can’t speak on something I didn’t live, right?’
Then the conversation turned to the movement as a whole, and that’s when Lohan said things that swiftly received sharp criticism on Twitter.
‘If it happens at that moment, you discuss it at that moment. You make it a real thing by making it a police report,’ she commented.
‘I’m going to really hate myself for saying this, but I think by women speaking against all these things, it makes them look weak when they are very strong women. You have these girls who come out, who don’t even know who they are, who do it for the attention. That is taking away from the fact that it happened.’
The Times further added Lohan describes herself as ‘very supportive of women’ but ‘can’t go along with the “attention-seekers”‘.

The far reaches of this movement
The Me Too movement has become a massive wave in Hollywood that’s looking to change the industry.
It has had far-reaching consequences for Hollywood elite, and countless victims have come forward to share their stories.
Two of the most prominent people accused of sexual assault include Kevin Spacey, Jeffrey Tambor, and Harvey Weinstein. People like Cara Delevingne, Salma Hayek, Ashley Judd, and more have all accused Weinstein of misconduct.
Last year, Lohan made headlines when she defended Weinstein in a now-deleted Instagram video.
Others like Ellen Page have also opened up about their own experiences.
The movement is leading to action for change in Hollywood, such as the organization Time’s Up, which aims to end this systemic harassment.
