Madonna is in talks to headline the iconic Glastonbury music festival, according to reports.

The rumors follow news of the star teasing her new single Beautiful Game on Instagram.

The 59-year-old would be playing the Pyramid Stage, following in the footsteps of previous headliners such as Beyonce, Jay-Z, Coldplay, Muse and David Bowie.

‘They have always been massive fans of Madonna’

Festival founder Michael Eavis and his daughter Emily want to make next year’s fest ‘better than ever’ in order to ‘drive ticket sales’ according to The Sun.

ABBA and Elton John are also named as possible names to headline the festival in the report.

The biggest music festival took a ‘fallow year’ in 2018, and returns next year, from Thursday 26 June t0 Sunday 30 June.

A spokesperson for Madonna declined to comment when approached by Gay Star News.
