A Maryland county school board didn’t violate the First Amendment when it limited access to a meeting discussing the use of LGBTQ books in schools, a federal court said.
The limitation was content-neutral and narrowly tailored to meet safety concerns, Judge Paula Xinis of the US District Court for the District of Maryland said Tuesday, granting the board’s motion to dismiss in part and denying it in part.
