The costars of RuPaul’s upcoming 10-episode Netflix comedy series have been revealed, including the handsome actor playing his on-screen lover.

Rising star Josh Segarra will play Ru’s boyfriend on AJ and the Queen, reports HR.

The premier date is currently unknown.

The guys will be joined by the likes of Michael-Leon Wooley, Katerina Tannenbaum and Tia Carrere in the new show.

Emmy winner Ru will play Ruby Red on the program, about a 90s drag queen traveling across America with an 11-year-old stowaway.

AJ and the Queen is written by Ru and Michael Patrick King, the mastermind of HBO’s iconic Sex and the City.

Ru will also serve as a producer. MPK Productions will produce the series, in association with Warner Bros. Television.

Josh Segarra [above], who plays the role of Hector on the show, is known for his roles as D. Stefanovic on Netflix hit Orange is the New Black. He’s also appeared in Hollywood films such as Trainwreck and Overboard.

It is of course not Netflix’s first foray into LGBTI-inclusive programming. Its Queer Eye revival won the Structured Reality Emmy earlier this year.

Meanwhile RuPaul’s Drag Race, the show that pushed RuPaul’s star stratospheric, is of course available for streaming on the service. The reality contest is produced by and aired on VH1 (previously World of Wonder for Logo TV).
