HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) — The Central Pennsylvania LGBTQ Center has a new executive director.
Amber Roadcap, of Harrisburg, has been hired as the Center’s newest executive director.
A graduate of Penn State University, Roadcap brings more than a decade of experience advocating for LGBTQ people across Pennsylvania, including developing Malvern Health’s LGBTQ-specific behavioral health program.
She is also heavily involved with GLO Harrisburg, a community resource center that focuses on the experiences and needs of LGBTQ men of color and trans women of color.
“I am both thrilled and deeply humbled to have the opportunity to lead this organization in its next phase of growth,” Roadcap said. “My hope is that the community is excited for what is to come.”
As executive director, Roadcap will manage day-to-day operations for the LGBTQ Center that serves thousands of people yearly. She will oversee the organization’s transition to its new permanent home at 1323 N. Front Street in Harrisburg.

The Center will host a welcome reception at 1323 N. Front Street in Harrisburg on Friday, July 19 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., as part of a month-long celebration of its new home and new executive director.
