Pride in London has revealed the line-up of acts who will be entertaining the crowd on 7 July. On the day of the Parade, more than 100 artists will perform across four stages.
Four stages across the capital
Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who performed at Manchester Pride in 2016 and at Birmingham last year, will take the main stage in Trafalgar Square. She will be joined by this year’s Eurovision UK entry SuRie. Drag queens Alyssa Edwards and Courtney Act will also perform.
Community acts appearing on the Trafalgar Square stage include the London Gay Men’s Chorus and the London Gay Big Band. The LGBTI bands will be joined by winners from this year’s Pride’s Got Talent competition, LMR and Busty and Ginger.
Furthermore, cast members from Disney’s Aladdin, Disney’s The Lion King and Everybody’s Talking About Jamie will be bringing a taste of the West End to Parade day. The London Musical Theatre Orchestra will be opening the show with a medley of favorite songs featuring Emma Hatton and Laura Hyde amongst others.
The other stages are the Women’s Stage in Leicester Square, the Dean Street Cabaret Stage and the Family Stage in Golden Square.
The DIVA Women’s Stage
After the success of its launch in 2017, the DIVA Women’s Stage is returning to Leicester Square for another year. Sinitta, Heather Peace, Betty, Lots Holloway and Horse McDonald are among the incredible lineup of female talent. They will appear alongside some of Pride’s Got Talent 2018 contestants, including STITCH, Grace Hartrey, and L.A.D.
Acts appearing across the other stages include the finalists of Drag Idol 2018 and Zayn Phalic on the Cabaret Stage in Dean Street. Moreover, there will be a host of family-oriented acts on the Family Stage in Golden Square, including Pop’n’Olly.
A diverse line-up for Pride in London
This year’s Pride in London will be one of the biggest and most diverse parades to date.
Executive Producer for Pride in London Ian Massa-Harris-Mc Feely commented, highlighting the diversity of this year’s acts. Notably, the line-up will include 22 Finalists from Pride’s Got Talent 2018.
‘We are proud to bring some of our community’s biggest and brightest stars to our stages this year,’ he said.
‘Our ambition is to showcase and give a platform to all the diverse LGBTI community acts and performers in London.’
