LGBTQ youth belong in sports!

And now, they have the support of major athletic leagues to prove it.

Today, in celebration of #SpiritDay, the MLB, NFL, NBA, and WNBA took to social media to go purple for the world’s most visible anti-LGBTQ youth bullying campaign. So whether it’s baseball, football, or basketball – queer youth are welcome.

On-air during the NFL’s morning television program Good Morning Football, anchors wore purple and passed the mic to internet sensation Forge and his “Rainbow Dads” for a special message. Check out what the “Unofficial LGBT Family of the NFL” had to say:

MLB released a touching video, in honor of #SpiritDay champion and the late Billy Bean. The MLB’s first-ever “Ambassador for Inclusion,” Bean was a champion of LGBTQ equality and used his platform to promote inclusion within baseball for over a decade.

See how these MLB clubs showed up and out for LGBTQ youth this year for #SpiritDay!

Lastly, the NBA, WNBA, and the NBA’s charitable arm NBA Cares shared a collab post where they invited their followers to “go purple and join in.”
