Men, straight, bi or gay, have a tendency to be obsessed with penis size.
Have no fear, it turns out the average length is getting bigger.
Last year, condom company SKYN and King’s College London collaborated on a study.
Penises are getting bigger
Researchers measured the penises of 15,521 men.
It found, in 2016, the average penis size in the UK is 5.16 inches when erect.
A follow-up survey, carried out this year, found ‘improved’ results.
SKYN claims the investigation found the average penis size for those aged between 18-34 is apparently 6.1 inches.
So what makes the millennial generation so well-endowed?
Could it be all that avocado toast? Could it be the fear of never owning a house? Or are they just exaggerating?
But is it really the case?
Well, it turns out SKYN’s research is a little flawed.
While the previous year they worked with actual researchers, this year they decided to not bother and just collect the results through ‘self-examination’.
The statistics were calculated through an online form, which 3,037 sexually active men filled out.
According to nearly self-examined report, men ‘almost always really lie about how big their manhood really is’.
Penis size tends to matter, especially on gay dating apps.
Nearly two thirds of men ask about penis size before a hook-up online, according to Grab Him.
One in five gay men have also rejected a gay guy because of length of their penis, GMFA said.
In a survey by FS magazine, it found nearly 40% of gay men have anxiety issues when it comes to their own penis but are also quick to judge others.
Published by GMFA, the gay men’s health charity, 566 gay and bisexual men were surveyed and revealed several surprising results.
These included that 89% had shared a dick pic, and 30% said they wouldn’t care if that pic was shared with other people.
